Joe & Diane Markus - Elder

Part of the Grace family since 1995, Joe and Diane Markus enjoy the emphasis on the working of the Holy Spirit, the encouragement to grow in giftings and to serve each other, and the focus on worship that characterize the Grace family.

They have been blessed to serve in a variety of ways at Grace including the Ministry Team, Hospitality and Cafe Teams, small groups and others. Joe became an elder in late 2002.

Joe, Diane and their family moved to the Sturgis area in 1994 from the Toledo, Ohio area for a job opportunity. Originally from Southwestern Michigan, they had moved from Kalamazoo to Rochester, New York to Bedford, Michigan (Toledo area) for a series of job changes. The Markus' have seen God at work throughout all of these experiences.

The Markus family has four children ranging from late elementary to College and enjoys spending time together and with friends. Their interests are camping, biking, traveling, exercising, reading and spending time together.

Joe completed his Bachelor's degree at Western Michigan University in Mechanical Engineering and works as a Maintenance Engineer at Pfizer in Portage, Michigan.

Diane attended Michigan State University and studied Business Administration. Her favorite times are with people, especially her husband and 4 children.
